Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API)

The part of a medicine which produces its effects  are the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API). Some formulation drugs, are used for  combination therapies and are APIs are produced in traditional ways having multiple APIs active ingredients to treat different symptoms.

Traditionally the  been done by the pharmaceutical companies in their facilities in their home countries. In recent years many companies have chosen to send manufacturing to other countries  to cut their costs.

The significant changes of manufacturing has changed these API  more  regulated and with more structured guidelines and inspections put into place.
